The Harriet Beecher Stowe Home – Maysville, Ky.

An abandoned farmhouse behind the home we investigated

What a whacky case this was. The home used to be the town’s courthouse, complete with a hanging-tree out front, that was still there. It was in the front yard of this home that Harriet Beecher Stowe was influenced to write “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” after witnessing a hanging there. Activity went on all night, below is just some of the evidence captured or experienced. A male spirit seems to haunt the home. We weren’t there 30 minutes when I heard an audible “breathy voice” directly in my ear, while upstairs. Another team member heard the same thing either simultaneously, or just before/after I did, but in another room. The sisters who lived there didn’t experience anything malevolent, but were adamant about the home being haunted. It definitely is in this case.
